The Christmas season came a little early this year on a blustery Friday evening for unsuspecting residents of the Salvation Army's Johnson County Family Lodge in Olathe. With the Johnson County Sheriff's Office assistance, as well as the Olathe PD, Kansas Highway Patrol, Bonner Springs (KS) PD, some Missouri Highway Patrol troopers, and a retired FBI special agent, Santa spread his good cheer to 14 families at the Family Lodge, and made additional stops at several retail outlets in Olathe.

Kansas City, Kansas

What a day of cheer Secret Santa and his ELFs had on Tuesday, accompanied by Steve Hartman and his crew from CBS and several law enforcement officers from the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol! Santa gave $100 bills to each law enforcement officer so they could bless recipients as they chose. Among the stops, meeting with 12 veterans currently residing at a Salvation Army facility was a highlight of the day.

This was an extra special sleigh ride as it marked nearly 10 years since the original Secret Santa, Larry Stewart's death. The group visited many of Larry Stewart's favorite places in Independence, MO, accompanied by the Independence PD Chief and several officers and Jackson County Sheriff Mike Sharp.
