Kansas City, Kansas Sleigh Ride Team consisting of ELFs: Monte Strait, FBI retired, Luke Dlabal, MD retired, Capt. John Cosgrove and seven other members of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.


It was hugs all around on December 15, for young ELF in training Ryan Lewis, Capt. Rex Tarwater and Sgt. Brad Deichler of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department as they helped Secret Santa spread joy.


 

Secret Santa Sleigh Ride Foils Bank Robbery 

It was an exciting day for the Secret Santa Sleigh Ride team in Glendale, AZ when they disrubted a bank robbery. On a seperate Phoenix Sliegh Ride escorted by the Phoenix Police, ELF Luis Gonzalez and three Secret Santa's spread joy.  

 

2009 Sleigh Rides 

2009 has shaped up to be a busy year for old Secret Santa, with Sleigh Rides in:  Oklahoma, Michigan, North Carolina, Missouri, Kansas, California, Arizona and Canada. Each Sleigh Ride is listed by date. National media continues to cover the many stories of lives touched and the committment of Secret Santa Leaders to expand the legacy and tradition of Secret Santa in every state and country. The following are news accounts of Secret Santa Leader "Sleigh Rides" and their touching stories.  

Tulsa, Oklahoma  

On November 18, Santa and his ELFs with the assistance of the Tulsa Police Department spent a day touching every corner of Tulsa, Oklahoma. This was the first of hopefully many Oklahoma Sleigh Rides. Tulsa World News

On December 4, Charlotte Secret Santa Leaders and a CBS news crew are escorted by the Charlotte Police Department throughout the city for a full day of giving.

Kansas City, Kansas

December 9, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department escorted Secret Santa, reporters from Associated Press and ELFs through all four corners of Kansas City, Kansas. It was a great day from start to finish.

December 9, Secret Santa meets with 7th and 8th graders from Visitation School in Kansas City to help the community service efforts of their organization called the Visitation Jr. Board. Two of their elected board members will travel with Secret Santa on the Kansas City Sleigh Ride.  Future Secret Santas

December 15, the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department escorted Secret Santa, and local TV and news media on a great Sleigh Ride. The KC Police Department was smooth as silk, as the Sleigh Ride covered much territory.

December 17, the Sheriff of Jackson County Missouri escorted Secret Santa and National Public Radio through parts of Jackson County Missouri.

Guelph, Ontario, Canada

First Secret Santa Sleigh Ride in Canada. On December 16, a new Secret Santa Leader emerged to bring joy and happiness to the city of Guelph. Inspired by the story of Secret Santa he heard on the radio, he didn't need much, just a little advice from ELF 32 A, and some Secret Santa Coloring Books. Everything else he needed was in his heart.

Glendale and Phoenix, Arizona

On December 17 and 21 not only did Secret Santas and two retired FBI ELFs escorted by Glendale Police make their rounds spreading Christmas joy, but in the course of their Sleigh Ride managed to disrupt a bank robbery in progress. This year was indeed special as the Secret Santas escorted on two separate days by on-duty Glendale and Phoenix police made many stops to include the Arizona Army National Guard to help Soldiers recently returning from Iraq.

December 18, with the help of the Detroit Police Department, three Secret Santas made frequent stops to brighten Christmas for many.

December 23, the St. Louis Secret Santa carries on a tradition started last year. This year escorted by Fireman and St. Louis County Deputies, she and band of her trusty ELF's made miracles come true to those most in need and to those she found along the way.
